The Vinayaka Missions Kirupananda Variyar Medical College was founded in 1995 and is located in Salem, India. From 1995 to 2004, it was affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University. It was in 2004 when it became Vinayaka Mission’s research foundation’s constituent college.
With a vision to provide humanitarian services in the form of the best healthcare to the people of the local community, this institution was formed. It is named after its founder, Kirupananda Variyar, a great spiritual leader of his time. Currently, Prof. Dr. K. Ezhil Vendhan is the dean, and Prof. Dr. Deepti Shastri is the deputy dean of the institute.

MBBS Course
MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology.
