About College

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangalgiri is located between the districts of Guntur and Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. It was approved as one of the AIIMS by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in 2018. AIIMS is a group of autonomous public universities. As of 2023, there is a total of 20 AIIMS established under the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Act, 1956.

AIIMS, Mangalgiri is established with three paramount objectives:

1. Diversified education of health professionals,
2. Enhancing research in bio-medical sciences, and
3. Providing the highest level of patient care.

AIIMS, Mangalgiri provides undergraduate and postgraduate courses in medicine & surgery and a bachelor’s course in nursing. Along with academic facilities, in the year 2019, AIIMS Mangalgiri started providing OPD services at their designated campus offering affordable healthcare facilities to the marginalized section of Andhra Pradesh. MBBS Course

MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology. The MBBS undergraduate course runs for 5.5 years with a mandatory Internship training with the affiliated hospitals for the college.

Admission: The admission process is via the NEET exam which is conducted every year. The eligibility also requires the students to have a minimum of 50% marks in their 12th standard with physics, chemistry, biology, and English subjects.

Placement Experience: There is only an option to go for internships after completing the course. There are many internship opportunities for students. The students must do a post-graduation with a specialization to get a proper job.

2 – By Jatin, batch – 2021 (MBBS)

Admission: The entrance exam NEET is conducted by National Testing Academy for all students aspiring to study medicine. The entrance exam is valid across all of the medical colleges in the country. Along with this a minimum score of 50% in 12th standard is mandatory.

Placement Experience: There are only internship opportunities for students. Most of them do internships on the college campus itself. After this, they must pursue a postgraduate specializing in one of the streams to work as doctors.

Admission: I write the entrance twice and got failed in it, finally I got a chance to reform my dream of becoming a doctor. I went for counselling wherein I got one last seat in AIIMS Andhra Pradesh. I get in there then, after paying the fee there won’t be any interview after you got the call letter.

Placement Experience: The job opportunity is in our hands, if we did our course works well and get distinction marks in the yearly exams we will be called out for the job in the AIIMS itself for the specialist we gained.
