About College

The Adesh Medical College and Hospital is in Shahabad, Kurukshetra, Haryana, India. The non-profit Adesh Foundation established the institution in 2015 to assist the underprivileged by providing them access to high-quality healthcare and education. 

Dr. Harinder Singh Bedi is the Dean of Adesh Medical College. The college has MCI approval and affiliation with Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences in Rohtak. The college enrolls 150 new students annually in its MBBS undergraduate medical program.

MBBS Course

MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology. The MBBS undergraduate course runs for 5.5 years with a mandatory Internship training with the affiliated hospitals for the college.

Infrastructure And Facilities

1. Campus: The campus is spread over 32 acres of land. It includes academic buildings, playgrounds, hostels, and a hospital.
2. Lab: The college has well-equipped labs for practical training of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Pathology.
3. Library: The college has a well-stocked library with many books and journals. 
4. Clinical rotations: The college provides clinical rotations at the Adesh Hospital & Research Centre, a 900-bedded hospital with modern facilities.
5. Hospitals:Apart from the affiliated hospital, the college has a 300-bedded hospital with modern facilities.
6. Hostels: The college provides separate hostels for males and females. Provides all amenities to students. 
7. Food: The college has a canteen that provides hygienic food to staff and students.
8. Transportations: The college offers transportation facilities for staff and students.

Scholarships

Adesh Medical College and Hospital offer scholarships to needy students. The scholarships are provided based on the student’s performance in both academic and non-academic areas.

• Need-based Scholarship: The college provides need-based scholarships to students who come from economically weaker backgrounds.
• Merit Scholarship: The college offers merit-based scholarships to students who have secured top ranks in the NEET-UG exam. The scholarship amount varies from INR 50,000 to INR 1,00,000, depending on the rank secured by the student.
• Adesh Welfare Fund Scholarship: The college provides scholarships from the Adesh Welfare Fund to students facing financial difficulties due to various reasons such as illness or death of the earning member of the family. 
• Sports Scholarship: The college provides scholarships to students who have done well in sports at the state or national level.
