The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), a premier medical institution and research facility in Bathinda, Punjab, is well known for its superior medical education and healthcare offerings. AIIMS Bathinda was founded in 2019 to give aspiring physicians and healthcare workers top-notch medical education and training. It was established as part of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), a centrally funded program started by the Indian government. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, established the institution. The dean, Satish K. Gupta works to provide good education and maintain the system.

MBBS Course

MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology. The MBBS undergraduate course runs for 5.5 years with a mandatory Internship training with the affiliated hospitals for the college.
