Andhra Medical Institute is located in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. It was founded in 1923. It has a great tradition of handing out top-notch medical education. Andhra Medical College (AMC) is the oldest medical college in Andhra Pradesh and one of the oldest medical colleges in India.

Sir C.R. Reddy, who at the time served as the Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University, founded the college. 

Sir C.R. Reddy had the purpose of creating competent doctors and catering to the community’s medical needs. Dr. P.V. Sudhakar is currently the Dean of this college and is widely esteemed and acknowledged.

MBBS Course

MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology. The MBBS undergraduate course runs for 5.5 years with a mandatory Internship training with the affiliated hospitals for the college.
