In 2015, the Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Chittoor, was founded. The institution is in Andhra Pradesh in Chittoor. It is connected with and authorized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) at NTR University of Health Science – Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. 

The Apollo Hospitals Education and Research Foundation established the college. The college wants to offer the local population top-notch medical education and healthcare services. Dr. Alfred Joseph Augustine is the dean of the college. Dr. V. Sudhakar Babu is the medical superintendent of the college.
