MBBS Course

MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology. “To pursue this course, clearing the NEET-UG exam is a prerequisite. Eligibility requires passing class 12 with Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Zoology, with each subject carrying 180 marks. For All India Quota (AIQ) counseling, visit the MCC website, and for the Andhra Pradesh quota, refer to the NTRUHS website. The course curriculum, despite my unexpected enrollment, includes 10 faculty members for 250 students, all of whom are doctors. Exams are held monthly and are extremely challenging, demanding, dedicated, and intensive studying to pass the final exams.”

“To be eligible, one must attempt the NEET-UG exam conducted nationwide. After the results are announced, counseling opens, requiring submission of certificates from kindergarten to intermediate, with associated costs of around INR 1500-2000. Reservation benefits are available based on category percentages. As for the course curriculum, I chose it to fulfill my ambition of becoming a doctor and working in a hospital. Teaching is not highly efficient, with a ratio of one professor, one assistant professor, and two postgraduates for every 50 students. Examinations are conducted annually.”

“After the EAMCET exam results were announced, the merit list was published based on marks, rank, and quota/reservations. The counseling process, conducted by the state government, was excellent, transparent, and fair. I opted for Guntur Medical College under the OBC quota. The course curriculum was impressive, offering a balanced blend of theory and practicals. The laboratories were well-equipped, particularly the anatomy hall with an ample supply of cadavers. The pathology department had a commendable collection of specimens. Hospital postings provided valuable learning experiences, and the faculty members were highly experienced.”
