IK Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, located in the capital city of Bishkek, is one of the oldest and most prestigious medical universities in Kyrgyzstan. Founded in 1939, it has over 80 years of experience providing quality medical education.

MBBS Course

MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology. The MBBS undergraduate course runs for 5.5 years with a mandatory Internship training with the affiliated hospitals for the college.

4. Clinical rotations: Students undertake clinical rotations and training at the university’s affiliated hospitals from the 3rd year of study.

5. Hospitals: The university collaborates with over 30 hospitals in Bishkek, where students perform their clinical clerkship. This includes the National Center of Cardiology and Internal Diseases, Bishkek City Children’s Hospital, and others.
