Indira Medical College & Hospitals was established in 2020 to produce highly skilled medical professionals who can contribute to the healthcare sector in Tamil Nadu and beyond. The college is named after Indira Gandhi, the former Prime Minister of India, in honor of her contributions to the nation. Indira Medical College & Hospitals was founded in 2020. Since its inception, it has been committed to providing quality education and healthcare services. The college is located in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu. The region is known for its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty, making it an ideal location for medical education students. Dr. Anand Dongre is the current dean of the college.

MBBS Course

MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology. The MBBS undergraduate course runs for 5.5 years with a mandatory Internship training with the affiliated hospitals for the college.
