About College

Jiamusi University is a public university founded in 1947. It is located in Jiamusi, Heilongjiang Province, China. In 1947, it was established under the name Hygiene School of Cadres of Heijiang Military Region. It was later renamed Jiamusi Medical College in 1958. On June 27, 1995, the Jiamusi Institute of Technology, Jiamusi Medical College, Jiamusi Normal College, and other institutes merged to form Jiamusi University. The university’s educational philosophy emphasizes motivation, diligence, wise thinking, and creativity. The school badge is green and features an abstract Chinese character for ‘crowd.’ The three polygonal lines at the bottom of the badge symbolize the region’s three river plains. The founding year is also displayed in both Chinese and English.

MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology. The MBBS undergraduate course runs for 5.5 years with a mandatory Internship training with the affiliated hospitals for the college.
