Founded in the year 1998, K A P Viswanathan Government Medical College holds a significant position in the healthcare ecosystem of Trichy and its neighboring areas. The college was established with the aim of producing competent and compassionate doctors who would contribute to the well-being of society. Named after the late Shri K. A. P. Viswanathan, an eminent politician, and philanthropist, the institution strives to uphold his ideals of service and excellence. MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology.
