The KVG Medical College & Hospital is a private college and hospital in the Indian state of Karnataka that offers medical programs. Academy Of Liberal Education (R), Sullia, Dakshina Kannada, was founded in 2002 by Dr. Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda, its current president.
The Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) in Bangalore is the parent institution of the private, coeducational institute. The Medical Council of India (MCI) approves of it. Sullia, in the Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka, is where the institution can be found.
In 1999, the KVG Medical College – Sullia opened its doors to the public as a private medical school offering a total of 100 MBBS and 60 Post MBBS MD/MS/Diploma seats via its affiliation with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences – Karnataka.
Dr. Kurungi Wegatama Mankoda, the Chairman of the Independent Academy (R), Sallia DK, established the KVG Institute of Medical College and Hospital in 2002 with the goal of training future leaders in their fields. MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology. The MBBS undergraduate course runs for 5.5 years with a mandatory Internship training with the affiliated hospitals for the college.
