Gulbarga, Karnataka is home to the Faculty of Medical Sciences at Khaja Bandanawaz University. The college received approval from the Government of Karnataka and offers both undergraduate and graduate levels of medical and surgical education.

History: The Khaja Education Society founded the university in 2018. The organization has set up a number of educational facilities to fulfill its mission of providing high-caliber medical and healthcare education.

Location: The campus is centrally placed in Gulbarga, not far from the city’s main hospital and medical school.

Established: In the year 2018, Khaja Bandanawaz University’s Department of Medical Sciences opened its doors to students.

MBBS Course

MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology. The MBBS undergraduate course runs for 5.5 years with a mandatory Internship training with the affiliated hospitals for the college.

Infrastructure and Facilities:

Campus: The college campus is spread over many acres of area.

Lab: Central, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Radiology, Pathology, and Research Laboratories, among others, are all well equipped.

Library: There are many volumes in the library’s medical section, covering topics including national and international special reputable foreign journals, and each collection has its reading room.

Hospitals: Nearly seven hundred fifty beds are available to patients at the Khaja Banda Nawaz Teaching & General Hospital.

Hostels: The College Campus has separate Hostels for Men and Women, each with its own Mess and Dining Hall.

Food: It can also produce R.O. purified drinking water and serves food that is clean and healthy.

Transportations: It takes around 22 minutes to go to the Khaja Banda Nawaz Faculty of Medical Sciences by train from Gulbarga Junction.

Scholarship:

It was a mixed bag for me as a Faculty of Medical Sciences student at Khaja Bandanawaz University in Gulbarga. The material had a clear progression, and the instructors were helpful and encouraging. They helped us along the way and gave us everything we needed to succeed academically. The campus has enough amenities, such as a library and well-equipped labs. However, some of the classrooms and auditoriums are required to be better, so the infrastructure might need some work.

My time in the Faculty of Medical Sciences, Gulbarga, at Khaja Bandanawaz University, was favorable. Academics were strong, but facilities, extracurriculars, and job placement services might have been better.

My stint as a student at Khaja Bandanawaz University’s Department of Medical Sciences in Gulbarga was a mixed bag. The teachers were well-informed and kind, always ready to answer students’ questions about course material. The course material was extensive, spanning several medical disciplines.

The institution should do a better job of helping students find jobs—the supplied career counseling and employment prospects need to be improved. The medical industry needs more internship and employment opportunities for students.
