About College

The Konaseema Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Foundation, also known as KIMS, was founded in 2005. The institution is in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh’s East Godavari district in Amalapuram. Vijayawada’s Dr. YSR University of Health Sciences is associated with KIMS Amalapuram. The college’s chairman is Dr. K. V. V. Satyanarayana Raju.

MBBS Course

MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology. The MBBS undergraduate course runs for 5.5 years with a mandatory Internship training with the affiliated hospitals for the college.

The placement rate is reasonable. The college has its 850-bed hospital attached to the campus. Students can get a placement there and at various government and private colleges. The college’s hospital offers the internship. The training is in the form of rotational movement. – Anushka Avadhi

The infrastructure of our college is far better than many colleges. The facilities are good, and there is everything needed. The quality of the campus is excellent. The quality of the hostel is good and better. The food served is also proper, and the canteen is available daily. Our college gives much priority to sports and games. – Mohith Surya Kumar
