About College:

A private institution, Navodaya Medical College, Raichur opened its doors in the year 2001. The college has official recognition from the National Medical Council of India & is associated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. It provides medical education at both the undergraduate & graduate levels.

History:

Mr S. R. Reddy, a philanthropist and visionary, established Navodaya Medical College with the intention of providing students from all over India with access to high-quality medical education.

Raichur, in the northern region of the Indian state of Karnataka, is home to Navodaya Medical College. It has excellent access to roadways, railways, and the air because to its location on NH-7. The college’s campus is 25 acres large & it’s in a quiet, peaceful region that’s perfect for studying.

MBBS Course

MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology. The MBBS undergraduate course runs for 5.5 years with a mandatory Internship training with the affiliated hospitals for the college.

As a student at Navodaya Medical College, Raichur, my time has been a mixed bag. I am in my last year of medical school and have seen both the good and the bad.

The professors of Navodaya Medical College are experts in their specialties. Our pharmacology sessions are engaging and informative thanks to Dr. Karthik Reddy–who teaches them. However–I have seen a wide range in the quality of instruction across departments, and some instructors may benefit from more efficient approaches to the classroom.

Advantages:

The college library is the greatest location on campus, according to students, professors, and staff. They have a theatre for entertainment purposes. The dorms are also superior to those at many other schools of medicine.
