The University of North-Western State for Medicine is located in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Established in 1907 by Ilya Mechnikov, a well-known Russian biologist and immunologist, it is one of Russia’s oldest and largest medical universities. The University comprises several faculties and departments, including medicine, dentistry, pediatrics, preventive medicine, pharmacy, and nursing. Several research centres and institutions, such as the Institute of Experimental Medicine, the Institute of Immunology and Physiology, and the Research Centre, are also located at the University.

MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology.
