About College

Santhiram Medical College was founded in 2005 by the Santhiram Educational Society, an esteemed non-profit organization established in 1984 that is committed to advancing education and healthcare in the region. The college is affiliated with the NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) and recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

Located in Nandyal, a charming town in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, Santhiram Medical College sits on NH-40 and enjoys excellent connectivity through road, rail, and air. Under the auspices of the Shafa Educational Association, Santhiram Medical College was founded with community development. Additionally, SMC is dedicated to offering all high-quality medical treatment at low costs. The concept of a medical school in a remote area can grow and produce competent physicians. Medical administration and support personnel at SMCH are highly trained and committed to providing excellent care and service to the community at all times.

MBBS Course

MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology. The MBBS undergraduate course runs for 5.5 years with a mandatory Internship training with the affiliated hospitals for the college.

College Infrastructure

The college’s facilities are excellent. Additionally, the hospital is properly built, the hostels are very close to the campus, and the roads are in good condition. moderate in stature. The infrastructure is strong generally.

Value for Money.

As it is a government seat and the charges vary depending on the applicant’s category, I believe that the total cost is less than what we pay for our intermediate education.

Campus Life

Our campus is situated beside NH-18 near Kurnool Nandyal highway, it’s an amicable environment. The facilities and its appearance are also lovely and very supportive. It is helpful as it’s near the highway and more prone to accidents.

This college is perfect in the case of study and academics. The faculties are very lovely and supportive. Discipline is the most crucial topic in a research paper, and research activities are encouraged.

Course Curriculum Overview: The course curriculum is quite vast and very. It’s a 4. 5 year-long course. The entrance exam is based on the intermediate levels. Questions are asked chiefly from the NCERT book preparation is needed; one needs to practice hard.
