In 1952, the Soviet Union’s Cabinet of Ministers approved a decision approving the university’s opening. On September 1, 1953, the Faculty of Medicine opened its doors to the first 320 students, establishing Semey Medical University. At Semey Medical University, undergraduate and graduate programmes are offered in a range of fields, including business, engineering, social sciences, and humanities. Assisting students in achieving their academic and professional goals is a priority for their lecturers. They possess a wealth of knowledge and expertise.

MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology.
