Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College & Research Institute was founded in Bangalore, Karnataka, in 2019. The university, a centerpiece project of the Karnataka government, aspires to award affiliation to all of the area’s nursing, paramedical, and medical institutions.   

The organization bears the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s name, a former Indian prime minister. His dedication and vision for the well-being of the Indian young are honored by the institution. The institution is a homage to his commitment and vision to the health and welfare of the youth of India. MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology. The MBBS undergraduate course runs for 5.5 years with a mandatory Internship training with the affiliated hospitals for the college.
