Siddaganga Medical College and Research Institute (SMCRI) is a new medical college established with the divine blessings of His Holiness Dr. Sree Sree Shivakumara Mahashivayogi was initiated to the holy order in 1930 by his guru His Holiness Sree Sree Uddanashivayogi. The college is affiliated with the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and recognized by the National Medical Commission. The college offers an MBBS course with an annual intake of 150 seats. 

The college is located in Tumakuru city, which is 63 km from Bengaluru on the Bengaluru-Pune Highway. The college has excellent infrastructural facilities such as air-conditioned lectures, well-equipped laboratories, a library, and hostels. The college also has a specialty hospital with departments of cardiology, neurosurgery, oncology, nephrology, etc. The college aims to provide quality education, research, and healthcare to the community with the philosophy of Sree Siddaganga Math.

MBBS Course

MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology. The MBBS undergraduate course runs for 5.5 years with a mandatory Internship training with the affiliated hospitals for the college.
