In 2021, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Charitable and Educational Trust established Srinivasan Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) as a private, not-for-profit financing institution. This institution is committed to serving society as a center of outstanding performance, focusing on medical education and healthcare.

State-of-the-art, fully air-conditioned classrooms, and labs, as well as one of the most extensive medical libraries in the region, the Central Library Learning Center, are all located in the two million square feet of constructed space. The Medical College and Hospital are housed on a 25-acre site rich with facilities. The campus has trees, wide open areas, and immaculate lawns. The campus is like a township with colleges, a hospital, staff housing, hostels for students and employees, play areas, etc.

MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology. The MBBS undergraduate course runs for 5.5 years with a mandatory Internship training with the affiliated hospitals for the college.
