Wuhan University School of Medicine is run by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China in Wuhan, Hubei, China. A comprehensive and important national university directly under the control of the Ministry of Education is Wuhan University (WHU). It is also one of the universities included in the “211 Project” and “985 Project,” which have the full backing of China’s national and local governments.

Wuhan University’s origins can be attributed to Zhang Zhidong, the late Qing Dynasty governor of Hubei and Hunan provinces, who created the Ziqiang Institute in 1893. Before being officially known as Wuhan National University in 1928, the institute had multiple name changes as it developed and evolved. In China, it is among the earliest comprehensive national universities.

The Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China oversees the Wuhan University School of Medicine, also known as the Faculty of Medical Sciences, in Wuhan, Hubei, China. The medical school was established in 1943 and united with Wuhan University in 2000. It was formerly known as Hubei Medical University (HBMU).

MBBS Course

MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology. The MBBS undergraduate course runs for 5.5 years with a mandatory Internship training with the affiliated hospitals for the college.

Step 11: Select Fees structure for 2023 and Brochure 2023 PDFs to be sent to your email.
