About College

The first Chinese institution to be formed by an overseas Chinese was Xiamen Institution (XMU), established in 1921 by Tan Kah Kee, a well-known patriotic overseas Chinese leader. This one is the only university in China’s Special Economic Zones to receive special funding from the “211 Project” and the “985 Project” at the federal level. 

XMU is one of China’s top 20 universities and colleges, is regarded as a first-class national university, and has a global reputation as a hub of academic achievement. With a 91 year long and rich history, XMU offers international students a strong academic environment that will aid their development. Professor Han Jiahuai is the current dean of the college. 

A national public research university located in Xiamen, Fujian, China, Xiamen University is also known as Xia Da. As part of the old Project 985 and Project 211, Xiamen University is recognized as a Class A Double First Class University under the national Double First Class University Plan. The university includes 6 academic departments, 4 campuses, and over 40,000 students as of 2020.

MBBS Course

MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. The basic course structure includes studying of Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic medicine and Pharmacology. The MBBS undergraduate course runs for 5.5 years with a mandatory Internship training with the affiliated hospitals for the college.
