With over 7200 students from 43 countries, Belarus’ most prominent medical research university: Vitebsk State Medical University (VSMU) tops the chart. Since 2017, VSMU has started offering online biology and chemistry prerequisite courses to international applicants. The quality management system of the VSMU meets the requirements of international ISO 9001. The university offers training in both English and Russian language.
VSMU is known for its quality education system in the medical stream. Established in 1934, the university has over 53 professors, 64 physicians, 258 science candidates, and 199 associate professors, the education process is organized here. MBBS is the undergraduate medical course taught in medical college. “Unique thing about VSMU is that the theoretical classes are done in small groups (there are about 12 students and one qualified professor for each group) and Students are given unlimited access to clinical laboratories to use real cadavers and specimens to gain practical knowledge.
