Reasons for low pass percentage in FMGE

Low passing rates are typical, as seen by patterns from prior years, and less than half of applicants who take the FMGE exam pass it. This occurrence may have several causes, some of which are listed below:
  • Those who travel abroad to pursue careers in medicine sometimes lack appropriate clinical experience.
  • India offers better medical education than many other nations, and the FMGE exam paper is comparatively more difficult for international graduates.
  • Most foreign medical schools lack enough facilities for teaching and expose students to no patients.
  • To pass this exam, students choose to study independently, so receiving quality FMGE tutoring is crucial.
  • Clinical case scenarios are now included in FMGE examinations, and to attend the test, students must have practical patient experience.

Common Mistakes to avoid when attending FMGE

  • Never read the question paper quickly without giving each question a careful consideration. Instead, take your time and attentively read each question.
  • Most students struggle with challenging questions and frequently run out of time to finish other problems. As a result, an incomplete test is submitted.
  • In the exam room, guesswork is not a successful one. Respond to the questions with confidence.
  • In the test room, time plays a crucial role for the students. The best way for pupils to manage their time during an exam is to start answering the questions about which they are most confident.
  • Get a good night’s sleep the night before the exam so that your mind is rested and ready to go.
